Enterprise House, Sutton New Road, Erdington
Above the shop fronts (on 1st and 2nd floors) are now residential flats. Until ten years ago, this was instead the home of CSM Limited (an accounts and taxation software company owned by Pegasus, then by Sage [who closed them down ***]). To the right of the building is the Greek Orthodox Church and churchyard.

Northern section of High Street, Erdington
This part of High Street, from the junction with Sutton New Road (left) to just beyond the traffic light controlled junction ahead, is the only section that still forms part of the main road between Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield. The rest of High Street, behind the photographer from here to Six Ways, is bypassed for through traffic by Sutton New Road.

High Street Surgery, Erdington
Long time surgery, close to junction with Station Road / Edwards Road. The Chemist on right of photo is located where once there was a chinese restaurant. The chemists was once 5 or 6 doors down to right (out of shot). Car is pulling up to traffic lights at Station Road.

Erdington Blockbusters
The grassy bank in foreground was once a walled and elevated triangle with soil, and a historic memorial (subject unknown). To the left of photo is now a large fountain (looks like a snooker ball).

The Green, Erdington
This short section of road effectively forms a diversion around the green itself (partly visible on the right) for High Street. The building at the end of the road is Erdington Library, briefly closed for refurbishment at the time of this visit. Orphanage Road begins outside the library.

High Street - Erdington, Birmingham
A view south-west on Sutton Road, looking towards the crossroads ahead. High Street ahead, Edwards Road to the left and Station Road to the right. On the right the Abbey Fire Centre and Highclare School. Erdington Station is on the Birmingham to Lichfield City railway line. Along High Street there are many shops, a Post Office and an indoor market. To forestall enquiries via Geograph it must be emphasised that I am merely the photographer and have no connection whatever with any of the businesses in this area. Time photo taken 1.20 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
