Deep Cutting from High Bridge
The Stratford upon Avon canal continues through Yardley Wood in its deep cutting to the north of School Road.

Bus turning circle, School Road, Yardley Wood
This tiny turning circle, built into the mouth of Cleeve Road and leading to a small lay by, was once the terminus of route 13 from Birmingham city centre via Stoney Lane and Billesley. In the 1980s it was sensibly combined with the very similar 38 to form the 12, a single route for the eastern part of Yardley Wood that terminated at the old 38 terminus at Slade Lane. Now numbered 3, this route still stops here, but this has not been a terminus for more than 20 years. The turning circle really is small: I would imagine a Birmingham Standard could get round fairly easily, but it looks like it was a challenge with a Fleetline.
