103-106 Albion Street, Birmingham
Two pairs of passage-entry houses of c1855. The listing remarks that they represent "a very rare surviving example of a distinctive type of working-class housing once found throughout Birmingham which ... demonstrates the level and quality of accommodation considered to represent superior provision in a rapidly expanding C19 industrial community of national significance." Grade II listed. The one on the right has a good surviving ghost sign (Image]).

It reads: "Jones and Palmer / Printers / Stationers / Bookbinders / Jewellery Work A Speciality / Sealing Wax Papers & String / Etc Etc". The firm still exists, although it is now more about PR than printing. Wider view: Image

George and Dragon
This grade two listed red brick pub is on Powell St in the jewellry quarter of Birmingham. It was first built in 1820 and the front rebuilt about 1860. It appeared to be in poor condition but was surrounded with scaffolding so perhaps it is being renovated.

Car park of Primecare, Summer Hill Road
The facility appears to be the extensive low-rise new building out-of-shot left. Judging by the sign at the gate, Primecare operates under the banner of Birmingham and Solihull NHS (and, in very small print, Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust).

Properties on Summer Hill Road, Ladywood
The Rainbow Cantonese Restaurant glows alongside a metal box which may be a nightclub entrance, and a typical old small works or factory. This is the edge of the Jewellery Quarter.
