Family of Snowpeople and Modal Filter, School Road
Temporary 'modal filters' have recently been installed here and at other locations in Moseley and Kings Heath as part of an experimental Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) scheme. The filters allow bikes, pedestrians, etc. to pass, but not cars, etc. Currently subject to consultation, they evoke strong opinions in some local people. Nevertheless, it cannot be denied that this family of snowpeople could not possibly have been built or stood here last winter on what was then a very busy rat-run.

Bonfire and Fireworks Event at Moseley C of E Primary School
Since about 2011, a community fireworks and bonfire and fireworks event has been held most years at Moseley C of E Primary School. 1000 people attended the 2017 event organised by the parents' & teachers' association (PTA) and raised funds for the school.

King's Heath Railway Station Under Construction
Three new stations are simultaneously under construction at Hazelwell, Moseley, and (seen here) King's Heath. They will replace stations on more or less the same sites that were closed during WWII. Construction is in its early stages and at the time of photographing the vegetation had only just been cleared on the embankment along the edge of Highbury Park. Queen's Bridge is seen in the distance.
