Park Works, Birchall Street, Birmingham
By J.G. Dunn, 1908-09. Surviving lettering read, "Henry Shaw & Sons". The firm, which still exists in 2023, manufactured things such as nails and rivets.
Since this photo these derelict buildings have all gone, and been replaced by a building not worthy of comment.

The White Swan, Digbeth
Marooned in inner-city Digbeth, not far from the coach station, the White Swan is in fact a gem internally with a wooden bar, etched mirrors and ornate tiling.

54 Bradford Street, Birmingham
An extensive run of old factories or warehouses, either partially or completely disused at the time. The nearest, no. 54, is by J.P. Osborne, 1908. The furthest one bears the name "SK Buildings".
The whole group is due to be swept away for a new residential development. The Victorian Society unsuccessfully tried to save no. 54.
