Central Square Car Park, Holliday Street
This appeared not to be in use - there were no signs up apart from one on the entrance ramp at the far side saying "If you can read this you're going the wrong way". References on the internet suggest it used to be run by Britannia Parking and offered 496 spaces, which suggests it must extend underground far beyond the central well. Michael Westley informs me that the lower levels here are a relic of former canal basins.http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/cs/Satellite?c=Page&childpagename=Lib-Central-Archives-and-Heritage%2FPageLayout&cid=1223092759806&pagename=BCC%2FCommon%2FWrapper%2FInlineWrapper View from the 9th floor of the adjoining Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The 99·9 metre tall Alpha Tower is on the right. Extensive regeneration of large areas of the city centre nearby is still in progress.
