The Westcomb Altar Tomb, St Leonard's Churchyard, Flamstead
"In this vault are deposited the remains of William Westcomb of Cheverills Green who --- this Mortal life through the Mercy of God for a Blessed Eternity on the 26th day of September 1757 in the 70th year of his age. Also the Remains of Elizabeth his wife departed this life on the 13th July 1767"

The Burchmore Graves, St Leonard's Churchyard, Flamstead
The earliest grave in this group belongs to Thomas Burchmore, who died 5th January 1787, aged 80. Almost all the rest are the graves of his descendants or their spouses.

The Burchmore Graves, St Leonard's Churchyard, Flamstead
This shows graves on a triangular plot in which virtually all the marked graves belong to the Burchmore family of yeoman farmers, or their close relatives.
The War Memorial is just outside the churchyard at the end of the path.
