Wrapped, Packed and Ready to Go
At the entrance to the main exhibition room was a notice announcing the final exhibition - relating to the fact that the museum's collection was being crated up ready for the move to the former Town Hall.

Packing the Exhibits up at the St Albans Museum
The last months at the Museum of St Albans was to pack up all the exhibits prior to the move - so the final exhibition included a case with packing cases, etc, used in the packing process.

Discovering Sandridge in the Exhibition Room, Museum of St Albans

First World War Memorial Window on display in the Museum of St Albans
This window, originally from the Folly Methodist Chapel, Wheathampstead, which was demolished in 2006, was a feature of the "Keep the Home Fires Burning" Exhibition held in 2014. Museum of St Albans
Founded in 1898 as the Hertfordshire County Museum, the museum tells the history of St Albans from when the Romans left through its development as a market town and on to the present as a prosperous commuter city. The brick building has neo-Norman windows and entrance. It is locally listed.
