Cullen railway station (site), Moray
Opened in 1886 by the Great North of Scotland Railway on the line from Tillynaught to Elgin, this station closed in 1968 and was demolished.
View north west towards Portknockie and Elgin from the former trackbed which would have crossed the road diagonally. The single platform and station building would have been to the left of the image. In common with a number of other station sites on this line, all trace of the railway was removed here and housing built. However, there is still plenty of evidence of the railway through Cullen -see Image

Site of Cullen station, 1988
View northward, to harbour and Scar Nose off Portknockie: ex-GNSR Coast Line, Buckie and Elgin left, Portsoy and Cairnie Junction right. The station and line were closed from 6/5/68.

War Memorial
The War Memorial stands above the Square, on Redihaven Street. The octagonal domed building incorporates a small cell, and was one of several war memorials designed by John Wittet of Elgin.

Cullen - War Memorial
The memorial was built in 1920 and now carries names for WW1 and WW2. It stands on the north side of The Square.
