On a rather wet and gloomy day. But at least I did get out of the car to take the photo!

Cemetery near Portknockie
This relatively recent cemetery occupies a fine spot on top of the cliffs between Portknockie and Findochty, though sadly the view of the sea is blocked by the surrounding wall.

Coast path, Banffshire
Well surfaced but not tarred section of the cycle route. It runs through a barley field by Tronach Head. A line on the horizon may be the haar, out at sea but ready to return.

Grassy Cliff Top
For some reason the whins that blanket most of the cliff top have not spread to this strip of grassy ground. I'm unsure what the post with the triangle indicates.

Foam in the Grass
We were a little puzzled by this. It can't have been blown up from the shore, because there were only this and one other collection. We thought it might have been whipped up by a spate, but it's a day or two since the spate, and it surely wouldn't have lasted so long? Also, the water is welling up in a spring, or perhaps from a broken drain, and the foam is upstream from the upwelling.
