It's not easy to see from here whether or not the farm is still occupied. The marshy ground in the foreground is the course of the Burn of Sunnybrae.

Rowanbank
There is a young plantation of native broadleaved trees by the Burn of Blackhills upstream from Rowanbank, which can be glimpsed beyond the trees in this shot.

Rowanbank
This cottage is just beyond the end of the access track. The map shows a footpath continuing past the end of the house, but I did not attempt to investigate. Local rumour says that there was a hippie commune here in the 1970s and 1980s.
