Keith Junction
The present Keith Station was originally the junction where the branch to Dufftown left the Aberdeen to Inverness line. These tracks are the branch line leading up to Keith Town Station. There is, or perhaps until recently was, a service to Aberdeen which originated in Keith and uses or used this platform.

Keith (Junction) railway station, Banffshire
Opened in 1858 by the Highland Railway on the line from Aberdeen to Inverness. View north east along the approach road, towards the shed, branch platform and station forecourt. The branch is closed here, but the line leads to Keith Town which is open as part of the Keith & Dufftown heritage railway.

Keith goods shed
Now within a Network Rail depot but appears to be little used. One can only guess at how many thousands of gallons of whisky from local distilleries passed through here in days of yore, all now being moved by road.

Keith goods yard
Now a Network Rail depot. This was once the Great North of Scotland main line from Keith Junction to Dufftown and Elgin but latterly became a branch line to Dufftown only. It is now totally severed between here and Keith Town station and the line is now a siding. The platform sees use for overnight berthing of the Belmond Royal Scotsman luxury train.

Keith station
As it once was. At the time the photograph was taken, internally it was but a shadow of its former self, with two bay platforms filled in. Nevertheless, some effort had gone in to keeping it tidy, and brightening it up with floral displays.
