The bridge being rebuilt in the winter of 2018/2019. This blocked the railway and delayed its reopening for the 2019 season for about a month. The busy roads in Keith suffered considerable congestion during the rebuild.

Tannery Site
These unsightly heaps of rubble right beside the main road through Keith are the remains of a tannery. There were proposals to turn the buildings into an exhibition and heritage centre highlighting the history of tanning, but these came to nothing and the buildings were demolished. Beyond the piles is the tower of Holy Trinity Church, and to the right is that of St Rufus Church, with Keith Town Station in front.

Waiting to depart from Keith Town Station
A distinct pleasure (for passengers) riding in the first generation diesel multiple units of British Railways was the view forward. Not so good for drivers, who didn't enjoy their every action being observed. Consequently, the rail unions insisted that the passenger view of the drivers' cab be removed in subsequent train designs.
