Dufftown Distillery
Dufftown is said to have been built on seven stills, and this is one of them, founded in 1895 as Dufftown-Glenlivet in buildings which were previously a meal mill. It draws its water from Jock's Well in the Conval Hills. It is operated by United Distillers and Vintners.

Stephen Hospital
The cottage hospital in Dufftown is named after George Stephen, Lord Mountstephen (1829-1921), who is variously reported to have been born either in the town, or at Croftglas, and who rose to fame as a businessman in Canada, being most notably involved with the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The hospital was designed by Alexander and William Reid of Elgin and built in 1889-1890.
