Del Boy's Upgrade (2)
This is a Rolls Canardly, rolls down one hill and can hardly get up the other. Joking apart it's ingenuity at its best.

Ballindalloch Shop
The shop, post office and filling station at Ballindalloch is the last roadside filling station southbound until you get to Edinburgh 150 miles away. It's also the one and only shop beside the Tomintoul Spur of the Speyside Way http://speysideway.co.uk. I like to fill up there because if people like me don't support places like this, they won't be there much longer for us to use.

Ballindalloch Castle Gate Lodge (detail)
Carved sandstone armorial plaque set above the south lodge gate entrance to Ballindalloch Castle, being the arms of the Clan Macpherson. The Clan motto underneath reads: 'Touch not the catt bot a glove'. 'Bot' means without. The 'glove' of a wildcat is the pad. If the cat is 'ungloved', its claws are unsheathed. The motto serves as a warning that one should beware when the wildcat's claws are 'without a glove'. It is a reference to the historically violent nature of the clan and serves as a metaphorical warning to other clans that they should think twice before interfering with Macpherson business [source: Wikipedia].
