Gilcolmston from Denburn Court
A mix of granite villas and tenements interspersed with modern flats make up this residential area on the north of Aberdeen's city centre. The street in the foreground is Gilcolmston Park and behind it is Baker Street. On the skyline are the Cairncry skyscrapers.

Rosemount Square
Rosemount Square was designed for the City Architect by Leo Durnin in 1938, and completed in 1948. It is a Category A Listed building, but in need of a little attention as parts of it, especially some of the window frames, are looking a bit the worse for wear. All the flats are accessed from the inside of the courtyard, which is reached through archways from the streets. More details and history are available at http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB20471.
