Campus Sculpture
This bronze lives in the courtyard of the Taylor Building. Not totally sure what it represents, but it reminds me of a slater (Aberdeen dialect for woodlouse)... Who would have thought such a charming animal had so many nicknames... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodlouse#Common_names

The Taylor Building, Aberdeen University
According to the university website, the name commemorates Sir Thomas Murray Taylor CBE, QC, DD, LLD, MA, LLB Professor of Law 1935-48 and Principal 1948-1962. It occupies the site of a row of houses on Wagril's Lane which remains as a footpath on the other side. The postbox on the pavement is a Victorian one.
