Woodside panorama
Businesses on Great Northern Road (the A96), the main road into Aberdeen from the north-west. The suburb of Woodside has significant levels of social and economic deprivation and the usual quota of bookmakers. The bookmaker in the centre of the picture was originally the Woodside police station.

Don Street railway station (site), Aberdeen, 2017
Opened in 1887 on the Great North of Scotland Railway's line from Aberdeen to Keith, this station closed in 1937. The line was later singled. View south east towards Kittybrewster and Aberdeen. A year after this image was taken, the line was redoubled.

Baker and Bank, Great Northern Road, Aberdeen
Chalmers Bakers and Clydesdale Bank in Woodside. The bank is set to close any day (as of September 2013). The tower of Woodside Kirk pokes up behind the bakers.
