Multistorey Flats at Cornhill
Some of the many large blocks which sprouted in Aberdeen in the 1960s. At the far side of the car park is a modern low-rise building, the Cairncry Community Centre. Its appearance is not enhanced by the untidy collection of scruffy posters inside the glass door.

Cornhill Shopping Centre
This small development barely merits the name 'shopping centre' because this is almost the only shop in it. However it is just off Anderson Drive (Aberdeen's peripheral route which avoids the city centre), it has a free car park within walking distance of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and it stocks a reasonable range of items including my favourite rolls and my mother's favourite breakfast cereal, neither of which is available in the bigger supermarket chains. Long live Somerfield!
