Pond on Stoney Hill
A small spring feeds this small pond beside the main path on Stoney Hill, now known as Kincorth Hill local nature reserve. The stone cairn beside it bears an information board describing some of the species of wildlife that can be found in and around the pond.

Kincorth Hill
In the 19th century, what is now Kincorth Hill was pock-marked with granite quarries, and I surmise that this hollow might have been one of them.

Kincorth Hill, named as Stoney Hill on older maps, is now a local nature reserve. This is just inside the east end of the reserve, off West Tullos Road.
