Lined with car dealerships and industrial estates, Wellington Road is one of the main routes south from Aberdeen, and the main route to and from the harbour area. The building at the top, with brown reflective glass, is part of the Shell oil company's premises.

Shell Offices
'The Buildings of Scotland' says that the Shell office complex, built in five phases between 1973 and 1985, is 'rather muddled', but approves of the steeply raking front with bronze glass behind slanting concrete struts. This is the west elevation; it's difficult to photograph the north-facing main elevation.
