Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church
'The Buildings of Scotland' describes this as 'the most impressive church in Torry and one of the best in Aberdeen'. It is in French Romanesque style, by Charles J Ménart, and built in 1910-1911. The red granite of the walls looks like vertical crazy paving, a very effective contrast to the neat, regular grey granite of the surrounding streets.

Torry United Free Kirk
Looking like late 19th century Gothic, but not built until 1932, designed by W E Gauld. This was deliberate; in 1929 most of the United Free Church was re-amalgamated with the Church of Scotland, but this congregation remained separate and wished to emphasise continuity with the past.

Sacred Heart (Roman Catholic) Church, Sinclair Road, Torry
Built ca. 1911 in a very distinctive "crazy paving" style and supposedly modelled on medieval churches in central France. B-listed: http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/sc-19952-sacred-heart-church-of-the-r-c-and-presby .

Walker Road Primary School, Torry (main building)
They don't build schools like this any more... Walker Road Primary covers a huge, somewhat sprawling site and faces onto both Walker Road and Grampian Road.
