Built on a 'gushet' (wedge-shaped) site at the convergence of Stirling Street and Trinity Street with a very distinctive round tower at the apex. B-listed: http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB20619 .

Snarl-up on Carmelite Street
Part of the rather confusing one-way system in the vicinity of the Station and Union Square shopping centre. The turrets on the modern block of flats pay a nice tribute to the granite block next door (the Carmelite Hotel)... Any trace of a Carmelite religious building has long since vanished.
