South College Street is on the route of the B983 road as it heads south out of Aberdeen city centre. At the time this photo was taken, roadworks were taking place and the road ahead was closed.

Affleck Street, Aberdeen
An apartment block on Affleck Street, close to the city centre in Aberdeen. The railings at the end of Affleck Street show signs of damage from being hit by a motor vehicle.
This image was taken on a dull and wet day. The smudge on the corner of the building is rain water on the camera lens, which is an unfortunate risk of taking photographs in the rain.

The Royal Train leaves Aberdeen Station
A British Rail Class 47 heads the Royal Train as it departs from Aberdeen Station, heading south, watched by a small group of train spotters.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited Aberdeen on 20th May 1977 as part of her Silver Jubilee tour of the UK.
