Taken at the Shiprow stance in front of the Grandfare Multi-Storey Car Park. Aberdeen Corporation Transport has been supplanted by Grampian Regional Transport and First Aberdeen. The single decker would maybe be advertising the popular "Tour of City and Suburbs". The double decker would have operated on the city route 22/23 Heathryfold-Mastrick. The older bus, CRG 325C, is a Daimler CVG6 / Alexander (1965) and is preserved at Grampian Transport Museum in Alford.

Castlegate, Aberdeen. The Mannie-in-the-Green is now just The Mannie since he was resited there in the 1980s. He's atop the old well from the Green. The Tolbooth is Aberdeen's old prison and was used to house Jacobite prisoners in 1746. It has since been re-opened as a museum.

This splendidly named pub, serving real ale, is just opposite the main entrance to the Sheriff's Court in Aberdeen.

Now a pedestrianised street that runs parallel to Union Street for a short way. The tower of the Town House looms up behind.

I think this is in Shiprow. A crane is busy working on what I guess is an extension to the current car park.

This distinctive lead statue, about 1 metre high, once marked the first wellhead for Aberdeen's piped water supply. It's been moved several times, but thankfully has survived. B-listed: http://data.historic-scotland.gov.uk/pls/htmldb/f?p=2200:15:0::::BUILDING:20669 .
