Former Kaimhill Crematorium
Very striking art deco building from ca. 1937 and B-listed: http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/sc-50178-kaimhill-road-kaimhill-funeral-home-forme . The municipal crematorium has moved to Hazelhead and the building is now a privately-owned funeral home.

Gate, Kaimhill Crematorium
The gate, with 'ABERDEEN' matches one at the other side of the entrance with 'CREMATORIUM'. The Art Deco style crematorium was built in 1937 and operated until 1975 when it closed. It subsequently became William Gilchrist Funeralcare. The crematorium, memorial garden, boundary walls, gatepiers and gates are Category B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB50178.

Path and arch
The path leads from Kaimhill Circle and Ruthrie Terrace (behind the photographer) through the archway into Kaimhill Gardens. Kaimhill Crematorium is just visible through the arch in the distance. The lilac beside the path is in full bloom.

A footbridge and path connecting Auchinyell Road and Broomhill Road, passing over the Deeside way following the line of a disused railway.

Old Auchinyell Bridge over the Deeside Way
The bridge originally carried road traffic serving a few farms over the railway line, but has been superseded by a new, wider bridge to the east Image as the area has been developed for housing and is now only used for foot traffic.
