Schoolhill, Aberdeen
Saturday shoppers swarm across Schoolhill into and out of the Bon Accord Centre. George Street leads off to the left but there is only a tiny stub - the shopping centre has split the street into two.

Anti hero?
The statue of General Charles Gordon (of Khartoum) in front of the main entrance to Robert Gordon University. When I was at an English primary school in the 1960s he was still regarded as a Victorian hero, but I suspect that few 21st Century children have ever heard of him... Tempus fugit...
