This is a Primitive Methodist Chapel, built in 1895. The Primitive Methodist 'connexion' was formed in 1811 by Hugh Bourne and William Clowes, who were influenced by American evangelistic ideas and were consequently expelled from the mainstream Wesleyan movement.
