Highlandman's Road meets another footpath

Highlandman's Road is the footpath that leads from the bottom of the picture and continues in a straight line. At the point shown here, another path branches off to the left (both of these footpaths are indicated on the map). While Highlandman's Road is fairly level, this second path leads gently uphill, and comes to a stop about one kilometre further on. From the point where it ends, other less accessible routes lead more steeply uphill, towards the peak of Tom na h-Airidh (see, e.g., Image). These tracks were later resurfaced: Image
