No Blue Plaque, but this was the childhood home of eminent Welsh writer Caradoc Evans (1878-1945). He lived here from 1882 to 1893, before being "put to drapery". In the 1891 census, he, his mother and his eight-year old brother Joshua were all stated as speaking only Welsh.
