Taken from the footbridge and looking towards Dartford. The next station is Welling. Falconwood Station opened after the rest of the Bexleyheath line on January 1, 1936. It is noticeable that electrical power is still picked up from power lines on the ground (the centre two in the image, transferring to the outside of the rails beyond the station) in this quarter of the London commuter belt, rather than from wires above.
