The viewpoint is in Florence Street. The building in the background at a slight angle is Gorse Hill Baptist Church in Cricklade Road. Alleys such as this are typical of the older, central part of Swindon and few streets there do not have an alley behind them. It would be almost possible to cross this part of Swindon using nothing but alleyways to do so.
