Double-arched railway bridge over the river Frome

This bridge carries the railway line from Westbury over the river Frome near Charminster on its way to Weymouth. A little further on towards Dorchester the railway line passes beneath Poundbury hillfort in a tunnel: the original proposal was for a cutting but objections from locals (led by archaeologists) meant that the more expensive option was taken and the hillfort was saved from mutilation.
