The gable-ended unit at this end houses the Out of This World Organic Supermarket (with the green sign) and a Thai restaurant. It is still owned by Blockbuster and recently the restaurant owners presented a planning application for change of use of the shop to a restaurant, without the knowledge of the Out of This World owners. This happened just months after the Co-op had pulled-out of the shop and the manager had raised the money to buy the business and keep it open. A campaign was launched and the Council planning meeting lobbied intensively. The application was turned down unanimously.
