Springfield Road meets Spring Lane, Vauxhall meets Skoda. The older houses of Springfield Road (and the hidden south side of Spring Lane) give way to the 21st century Tayfen Development on the northern side. The new houses replace a steel stockholder, a caravan site and a greyhound track, but required much work to build up and consolidate the low-lying and wet ground of the fen.
