Originally built in the V of the A23/A273 junction which in itself caused traffic problems in the latter days of it being a straight junction of single carriageway roads. The reconfiguring of the junction in the early 1990s cut the garage off from the main routeways and it closed down in 2002. Middle Brow forms the backdrop beyond the derelict buildings.
