This pub has now closed. Hemmed in by the junction of the A34 with the A303, it ought to have been in an ideal location, but was probably a bit too inaccessible within the junction. People tended to pass it at about 70mph, a bit too late to stop, so the thought was sown and the next pub in each direction did a nice subliminal trade.
