"The Cambrian" steam-hauled excursion train, operated by West Coast Railways Ltd, is running again during 2008. It seen here leaving Pwllheli after its first public journey to the town this year. For the 2008 season it will run until August 29th and there will be one round trip every weekday between Machynlleth and Porthmadog, extending to Pwllheli on Wednesdays and Fridays. The locomotive in use this year is old favourite 76079. From casual observation, the train appeared to be very well patronised.
