The prominent wall-like feature across the burn is a dyke intruded into the Torridon Sandstone. The dyke is a member of the Skye swarm, which is indicated by its heading towards the Black Cuillin. There are a huge number of dykes in the area, which indicate extension of the crust during the period of opening the North Atlantic Ocean.
