Hedge Bindweed amongst nettles

On the banks of the River Gipping, banks of nettles prevent sight of the river at this time of year. A member of the Convolvulus family, the scientific name of hedge bindweed is Calystegia sepium. (Thanks to information from Geograph member Alan Fryer).
