Judkins' Quarry, Nuneaton

The quarry, marked as a granite quarry on the OS sheets, was first excavated in the 1840s and continued until very recently. In 1999 a new mineral, Woolridgeite, was reported to have been found in the quarry. It is now being filled with waste materials.
