The New Country Inn, 10 Lower Street

This is one of three licensed premises in Lower Street, all within a stone's throw of each other. Whereas the other two (The Bell Inn and The Old Lion) are more or less traditional pubs, The New Country Inn appears to be more focussed on providing accommodation and food. For many years it was The Redfern Hotel. As can be seen in this view, there is a large side & rear extension. The Bell Inn can also be seen just a little further up the street. Image
