Stilton proudly boasts two carved village signs. This one is sited on the main road or what was the Great North Road, before a dual carriageway by-pass and then a four lane motorway were constructed. This one depicts a coach laden with passengers and maybe some Stilton Cheese if it had come Via the Melton Mowbray area, outside the Bell coaching inn.
