The centre of the north parapet of Colnbrook Bridge - see Image The upper stone gives a date of 1777 - presumably the construction of the bridge. Historically this bridge was on the boundary between Buckinghamshire and Middlesex. The lower plate is a Coal and Wine Tax "Post" (Nail Number 78 - http://www.rhaworth.myby.co.uk/coalwine/spelthor.htm#TQ028770 ) placed there in 1861.
