This is the community hall, and one of the few remaining amenities in Dallas, the shop, post office, hotel and filling station all having closed down. It was built by James Houldsworth, Laird of Dallas, and his wife in thanksgiving for the safe return from the First World War of their sons and other young men of the parish.
