There are three stations at Newhaven although today only the Town and Harbour Stations are used. Newhaven Marine Station was closest to the ferry terminal. This station was opened on 8th December 1847 and at one time was called Newhaven Harbour Hotel Station due to proximity of the London & Paris Hotel which was just to the left of the view here.
