A mix of attractive old houses on Bath Road, the original London to Bath highway, opposite the Bear Hotel, the coaching inn. These would have been important houses at the main junction. The middle one was possibly another inn. The thatched one has had two accesses onto the street blocked up. Many properties like this have turned their back on the road that was their raison d'etre.
