The platform starter signals at the east end of Guide Bridge railway station. Just beyond the station is the junction for the lines towards Stalybridge, hence the route indicators (feathers). The lines ahead are towards Glossop. The signals are GB870 (platform 2) and GB868 (platform 1 bidirectional working)
