Glimpse of the country house at Whitney on Wye from the northwest, built from 1898 to 1900 for James Hope by T. H. and A. M. Watson of London. This replaced a building (also called Whitney Court) that was situated ¾ of a mile to the southeast, and like the medieval predecessor of St. Peter and St. Paul's parish church, it was placed closer to the River Wye than its replacement. Whitney Court does not have listed status as of July 2026, and it is currently a wedding venue.
