This fine chapel was designed by Bath-born architect Charles John Phipps (1835–1897), best known for his work designing theatres across Britain and Ireland. He had finished working on Bath's Theatre Royal in 1862 and came to Pewsey, creating some of his earliest ecclesiastic work. Phipps designed nearly fifty theatres in his time. The builder was local contractor John Mitchell, who was paid £349 with strict conditions that the work was of the highest standards. Grade II listed.
